Max Eugene Nash, 77, of Sullivan died at 7:35 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2005 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital . He was born September 16, 1928 in Sullivan to Glen Nash and Nellie Hoesman Nash. He was a former owner and operator of the Sullivan Motor Supply and worked as a funeral home assistant at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. He was a former member of the Sullivan City Planning Commission. His wife of fifty four years Mary Frances MacDonald Nash whom he married August 20, 1949 preceded him in death on August 28, 2003 . He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters Beth Stump of Covington and Jayne Correll and her husband Steve of Chillicothe, IL, one brother John Nash and his wife Janet of Fairbanks, seven grandchildren Jennifer Mattern, Ryan Mattern, David Stump, Rachel Stump, Sarah Stump, Diana Correll and John Correll and other relatives.
Services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Paul Jones officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery . Pallbearers were Ryan Mattern, David Stump, Jim Crooks, Larry Mattern, Tom Ficklin and Don Ficklin. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Noble, Dick Crooks and David MacDonald.
