Reah Virginia Gettinger, 88, of Merom died at 4:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2005 in her residence. She was born October 2, 1916 in Merom to Samuel and Margaret Lutz Andrews. She was a former secretary and business manager at the Merom Institute. She was a member of the Merom United Methodist Church and the Carlisle Chapter #185 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Atherly Gettinger and her parents and one brother Samuel Andrews.

Survivors include one son Kenneth Allen Gettinger of Merom, one sister Lois Andrews of Seattle , Washington and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the Merom United Methodist Church . Revs. James Beery and Daniel Gettinger officiated. Burial was in the Merom Cemetery . Pallbearers were family and friends.
