Wayne Emerson Huff, 77, of Sullivan died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital . He was born March 9, 1928 in Sullivan to Elihu Huff and Gladys Wilkey Huff. He was retired from the Sullivan County Highway Department where he was a foreman for District #1. He was a farmer and a truck driver for sixty years and drove for Dodd Sawmill and Stahl Excavating. He was a member, deacon, elder and a trustee at the First Presbyterian Church. The 1946 graduate of Graysville High School was an avid antique tractor collector and was a member of the White River Valley Antique Tractor Association and the coordinator of the Sullivan 4-H Fair tractor races. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Lucille Huff Stewart.

Survivors include his wife of fifty eight years Maxine Lambeth Huff of Sullivan whom he married October 6, 1946, one daughter Pam Irvin and her husband Ralph of Sullivan, one brother Lloyd Huff of Sullivan, one sister Edith Ham of Sullivan, one granddaughter Cami Irvin Bice and her husband Mike of Sullivan, one great grandson Camron Bice of Sullivan and other relatives.

Services are at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alan Finnan officiating. Burial is in the Johnson Cemetery at Graysville. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until services Sunday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
