Mary Dean Phillips, 88, of Sullivan and formerly of New Lebanon died at 2:35 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2005 in the Sullivan Health and Living Center . She was born December 9, 1916 in Sullivan County to Wallace B. Springer and Quindara White Springer. She was a homemaker, a member of the New Lebanon United Methodist Church, the Friday Afternoon Club and a 1935 graduate of New Lebanon High School. She was preceded in death by her husband William G. Phillips and her parents.

Survivors include one daughter Mary Ann Arnett and her husband Billy Gus of Sullivan, two grandchildren Wallace "Butch" Arnett and Laura Arnett both of Sullivan, three great grandchildren Kaitlin Arnett, Will Arnett and Allie Arnett and other relatives.

Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the Mount Zion Cemetery at New Lebanon. Rev. Barbara Allen officiated.
