Margaret Ruth "Mimmim" Riggs, 88, of Carlisle died at 12 noon Saturday, January 01, 2005 at Millers Merry Manor. She was born October 17, 1916 in Carlisle to Ray V. Phegley and Almeda Carmichael Phegley. She was a self employed beautician, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a 1935 graduate of New Lebanon High School . She was preceded in death by her Husband Lynn "Rosey" Riggs, two sons Gene Riggs and Ray Riggs, her parents and one sister Mary Sabol.

Survivors include one daughter Marlynn Gadberry and her husband Jim of Sullivan, one sister Helen Drake of Fairbanks , four grandchildren Marla Thompson, Jim Gadberry, Lisa Craighead and Michelle Rhoads, one daughter in law Sherry Riggs of Terre Haute , ten great grandchildren and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in the Holmes Memorial Chapel at Sullivan. Bob Thompson officiated. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Carlisle . Pallbearers were Jim Gadberry, Josh Thompson, Steve Craighead, Brad Rhoads, J.D. Wilson, Paul Sabol and Casey Ridgway. Soloist was Bob Thompson.
