Lois Brown, 78, of West Terre Haute died at 7:22 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Sullivan Health and Living Center . She was born December 1, 1926 in Sullivan to Walter McMahan and Maud Ferrend McMahan. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Jasper Brown, her parents, three brothers Walter McMahan, Jr., Melvin MaMahan and Mervin McMahan, two sisters Norma Graham and Naomi Huff.

Survivors include three brothers Maurice McMahan and his wife Sue of Prairie Creek, Donald McMahan and his wife Jean of Sullivan and Charles McMahan of Sullivan, three sisters Wilma Spencer, Sullivan, Doris Cox and her husband Tom of Hutsonville, IL and Janice Wright and her husband Melvin "Buck" of Paxton and other relatives.

Services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. David Cox officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery . Pallbearers were Charles McMahan, Maurice McMahan, Don McMahan, Melvin "Buck Wright, Mark Mason, Larry Huff and Tom Cox.
