William Joseph Gettler, 22, of Merom died at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital . He was born May 26, 1983 . He was a construction laborer. He attended the New Beginning Worship Center and was a 2001 graduate of Sullivan High school .

Survivors include his parents Jeff and Alicia Ann Moseley of Merom, two brothers James Robert Gettler and Jeffrey Cole Moseley both of Merom, one sister Heather Clark of Vincennes, grandparents Odell and Darlene Moseley of Merom and Larry and Gwen Gettler of New Mexico and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 in the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Sam McCord and Rev. Larry Sims officiated. Burial was in the Merom Cemetery . Pallbearers were Seth Bedwell, Kyle Vandergriff, Matt McManigell, Dusty Pirtle, Mike Anderson, Josh Boone, Mitch Davis and John R. Grimes.
