Charles W. "Billy" Boone, 67, of Sullivan died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in Health Central Hospital at Ocoee , FL. He was born January 14, 1938 in Sullivan to James Curtis Boone and Marie Morrison Boone Hardesty. He was an oiler and operator and a member of the Operating Engineers local 841 and attended the First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Vertis Hardesty and one step brother Richard Hardesty.

Survivors include his wife of thirty eight years Iona Miller Boone of Sullivan whom he married June 3, 1966, one son Charles William Boone, Jr. and his wife Keppy of Indianapolis, two sisters Patty Miller and her husband Jack of Seymour and Shirley D'Agostino and her husband Steve of New York , three step brothers Robert "Bob" Hardesty of Carlisle, Morrison Lee Hardesty of Chesterton and Ray Hardesty of Linton; one step sister Susan Horton of Oaktown, three grandchildren Sydney Boone, Allyson Boone and Charles W. "Trey" Boone and other relatives. Services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2005 in the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tom Turner and Rev. Gerald Badger officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Curt Bedwell, Wes Bedwell, Virgil Duncan, Mike Clidienst, Jerry Mahurin and Steve Adkinson. Soloist was Sonny Wilson.
