Dorothy Joyce Grass, 82, of Sullivan and formerly of Carlisle died at 8:10 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 in the Sullivan Health and Living Center . She was born October 19, 1923 in Plesantville to Sheldon "Shan" Montgomery and Sarah Abrams Montgomery. She was retired from American Latex. She was a member of the Indian Prairie Baptist Church and a 1940 graduate of Plesantville High School . She was preceded by her husband Lee "Jake" Grass, two daughters Linda Hale and Mary K. Robbins, four brothers Dean Montgomery, Robert "Bob" Montgomery, Gerthel Montgomery and Chester Montgomery.

Survivors include one son Brad Grass and his wife Lori of Fishers, two sisters Pat Volk and Phyllis Falconbury both of Sullivan, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2005 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Rev. Paul Jones officiated. Burial was in the Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery . Pallbearers were Doug Baker, Bub Koenig, Evan Baker, Bob Roberts, Tim Falconbury and Terry Montgomery.
