Ivan Charley, 90, of Greenwood and formerly of Carlisle and Sullivan died Monday, December 04, 2006 in the Greenwood Village at Greenwood , IN. The 1935 graduate of Carlisle High School was born July 26, 1916 in Carlisle to Mitchell Charley and Ada Morris Charley. He was a retired truck driver for Railway Express and Commercial Loveless and a member of the Greenwood Church of Christ. He enjoyed remolding old vehicles and homes. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Sellers Charley, his parents, four brothers Lloyd Charley, Marion Charley, Oran Charley and Leland Charley and one grandson Christopher Charley.

Survivors include one son Ivan K. Charley and his wife Carol of Greenwood, one daughter Joan Koenig and her husband John of Indianapolis, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and other relatives. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Brother Kimbell Niebert officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery . Pallbearers were Tom Charley, Greg Charley, Jason Koenig, Jerry Charley, Chris Charley, Sean Charley and Chad Charley.
