Richard D. "Rick" Nichols, 40, of Sullivan and formerly of CA. died at 4:54 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital . He was born August 10, 1965 in Glendora , CA to Melvin Nicols and Patricia Ann Liggett Nichols. He was owner and operator of Nichols Industries and a former employee of Center Line Wheels. He was a 1983 graduate of Allen High School , Allen , TX . He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son William James Nichols of Lababra , CA , one brother Michael Nichols, Hesperia , CA , two sisters Kimberly Nichols and Susan Solis and her husband Rafael of Sullivan and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dale Wise officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery . Pallbearers were Rafael Solis, Brian Herndon, Carl Nichols, Mike Nichols, Mike Cox and Bill Nitti. Honorary pallbearers were William Nichols and Rafael Solis, Jr. Singers were Tiffiny Nichols and Linda Solis.
