Stella Mary Gill, 92, of Sullivan died at p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital . She was born July 29, 1913 in New York to Harry Oles and Joanna Solski Oles. She was a homemaker and former Librarian at the Shelburn Library and an assistant Librarian at the Sullivan Library. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Club, the Village Homemakers, the Rebecca's Club and past president of the Home Economics' Club; she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Gill who died in February of 1974, her parents and one brother Michael Oles.

Survivors include two sons John Thomas Gill and his wife Jeanette of Sullivan and Robert A. Gill and his wife Genevieve of London, KY one granddaughter Cynthia M. Gill and other relatives. Mass of the Celebration of Life was at 11:00 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Dave Fleck officiated. Burial was in the Westlawn Cemetery near Farmersburg.
