Frances C. McKinley, 90, of Sullivan and formerly of Carlisle died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 01, 2006 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital . The 1934 graduate of Sullivan High School was born March 11, 1916 in Jasonville to William Pierson and Ruby Roseberry Pierson. She was a homemaker, a member of the Shaker Prairie Christian Church, the Carlisle Chapter #185 OES and the Carlisle Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard C. McKinley, one son Chris McKinley, her parents and three brothers Ralph Pierson, Raymond Pierson and Paul Pierson.

Survivors include one son Arthur McKinley and his wife Jenny of Carlisle, five sisters Virginia Humphreys of Fishers, Jan Hadt of Griffith, Rosemary Thomas of Terre Haute , Betty Pierce of Sullivan and Phyllis Munoz of Bogota , Columbia , five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2005 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Rev. Glen Archer officiated. Burial was in the Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery . Pallbearers Brian McKinley, Ryan McKinley, Mark Pierce, Mike Pierce, Richard Ellett and Brad Page.
