Marilyn Ruth Dodd, 66, of Sullivan died at 2:19 a.m. Friday, June 02, 2006 at Millers Merry Manor. The 1957 graduate of Sullivan High School was born July 7, 1939 in Graysville to Earl "Buddy" McElwain and Ruby Padgett McElwain. She was the secretary and co-owner of Vead Dodd Sawmill and a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty seven years John Riley Dodd, her parents and one brother Norman E. Palmer.

Survivors include two daughters Darda Drew and her husband J.R. and Debra Harrison and her husband Tom all of Sullivan, one brother Jim McElwain and his wife Phyllis of Henderson, KY, four grandchildren Tommy Harrison, Wes Drew, Dani Harrison and Ryan Drew and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 05, 2006 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dale Wise officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery . Pallbearers were Jim McElwain, Tommy Harrison, Wes Drew, Ryan Drew, David Dodd and Adrian Dodd. Organist was Mary Huff.
