Jo Ann Smith, 50, of Sullivan died at 10:05 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2006 at her residence. The 1974 graduate of Sullivan High School was born July 7, 1956 in Roswell , NM to Joseph Usrey and Wilma Ritchey Usrey. She was a Ministry Assistant at the Maryland Community Church and a member of the First Baptist Church of Shelburn.

Survivors include her husband of twenty years Roger W. Smith of Sullivan whom she married August 9, 1986, one son Jonathan Adam Smith of Sullivan, two daughters Joanna Michelle Davidson Hugunin of Shelburn and Jessica LeDawn Cottingham and her husband Jeremy of Sullivan, her parents of Sullivan, one brother Rick Usrey and his wife Sara of Graysville, four grandchildren Nathan Davidson, Alysia Cottingham, Charisa Hugunin and Braden Hugunin and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Shelburn. Revs. Michael Nave, David Cox and Scott Longyear officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan. Pallbearers were Adam Smith, Jeremy Cottingham, Chuck Jennings, Craig Seprodi, Joel Baker and Steve Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Nathan Davidson.
