Mary Ellen Beaver, 65, of Fairbanks died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in her residence. She was born June 8, 1940 in Sullivan to Floyd DeHart and Roxie Harris DeHart. The 1958 North Central High School graduate was retired from Furrow Lumber Company and was a former employee of the Dairy Queen. She was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ and a volunteer for G.I.F.T. in Fairbanks Township . She was preceded in death by one son Homer Beaver, Jr., her parents and two brothers Harold DeHart and Danny DeHart.
Survivors include her husband of forty five years Homer Beaver, Sr. of Fairbanks whom she married September 16, 1960, one son Lynn Allen Beaver and his wife Sherri of Fairbanks, three sisters Janet Nash and Frances Povlin of Fairbanks and Janice Duke of Carmi, IL, two grandchildren Brianna Beaver and Brett Beaver and other relatives. Services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Rev. Buford Smith officiated. Burial was in the Pogue Cemetery at Fairbanks . Pallbearers were John Nash, Jack Povlin, Ernie Beaver, Darren Wampler, Butch Chambers and Glen Nash.
