Cathy Ann Ridgway Petty, 58, of Sullivan and formerly of Carlisle died at 11:25 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006 in the Sullivan Health and Living Center . The 1965 graduate of Carlisle High School was born September 8, 1947 in Sullivan to Bill Ridgway and Rita Blann Ridgway. She worked in the medical records department at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility and was a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband Harry Petty of Sullivan, her mother and step father Randy Arnold of Carlisle, two sons Jeff Nicol and his wife Lisa of Dugger and Bill Nicol and his wife Nancee of Carlisle, two daughters Kimberly Adams and her husband Danin of Fountain, CO and Tabitha Nicol-Huffman and her husband Aaron of Ft. Drum, NY two brothers John Bill Ridgway of Carlisle and Randy Ridgway of Terre Haute, two sisters Pam Griggs of Decatur and Johnetta Crynes of Sullivan, ten grandchildren and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev Dale Wise officiated. Burial was in the Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery . Pallbearers were Jeff Nicol, Bill Nicol, Randy Ridgway, John Bill Ridgway, Ethan Wilson, Mike Griggs, Chase Nicol, Seth Wilson and Elijah Nicol. Soloist was Shirley Wright.
