Thomas Lee "Tom" Walters, 73, of Carlisle died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. The 1950 graduate of Carlisle High School was born November 16, 1932 in Carlisle to Marvel Walters and Pauline Minich Walters. He was a retired mechanic and a member of the operating engineers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Charles Walters and one sister Ann Pierce.

Survivors include his wife Rebecca Shake Walters of Carlisle, one son Marvel E. Walters, Reno , NV , two daughters Virginia Lee Walters, LaCosta , CA and Christine Sircy, Carthage , TN , five grandchildren and other relatives.

There are no services or visitation. Holmes Memorial Chapel of Carlisle assisted with local arrangements.
