Stanley Eugene Ramsey, 65, of Sullivan died at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in Millers Merry Manor. He was born December 11, 1940 in Schererville to William Ramsey and Ethel Crook Ramsey. He was a retired millwright, a member of Local 1003 and attended the Sullivan Wesleyan Church . He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Clifford Ramsey and one sister Marlene Horton.

Survivors include his wife Joyce "Joy" Whaley Ramsey of Martinsville , one son Bret Chastain of Sullivan, one brother William Albert Ramsey of St. John , one sister Winifred Charleston of FL, three grandchildren Kendra DeBouef Chastain, Logan Chastain and Gracie Cooley, a special friend Carol Ramsey of Hammond and other relatives.

Services were at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Gary Larimer officiated. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery at Paxton. Pallbearers were Bret Chastain, Rick Thompson, Don Davis, Max Judson, Shane Musick, and Bob Ainsworth.
