Pauline W. Thayer, 100, of Shelburn died at 1:22 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor. The 1925 graduate of Shelburn High School was born March 23, 1907 in Shelburn to Charles Woodsmall and Edith Douglas Woodsmall. She was a retired bookkeeper for Woodburn Printing of Terre Haute and a graduate of Indiana Business College. She was a member of the Shelburn First Baptist Church, the St. Petersburg, FL American Legion Auxiliary and the DAV. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Thayer, her parents one brother John Woodsmall and three sisters Evelyn Marshall, Juanita Compton and Dorothy Kelbosky.

Survivors include one brother Charles Woodsmall, Jr. of Terre Haute and several nieces and nephews including Alice Ann Goodman and Bill Marshall of Shelburn.

Services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Kenny Bolinger officiated. Burial was in the Westlawn Cemetery.
