Harold Warren Skinner, 80, of Sullivan died at 6:02 a.m. Tuesday, September 04, 2007 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital. The 1946 graduate of Sullivan High School was born August 24, 1927 in Sullivan to John Skinner and Mary "Liccy" Spencer Skinner. He was a retired employee of the Chrysler Corporation and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the North State Street Church of Christ and the United Auto Workers Union. He was preceded in death by his wife Lyllis Jean Kennedy Skinner, his parents, four brothers Gerald Skinner, Garland Skinner, Hubert Skinner and Russel Skinner and one sister Doris Lewellan.

Survivors include one son Johnny Skinner and his friend Ronald Earl Brokering of Indianapolis, one daughter Brenda Jean Wasson and her husband Roger of Indianapolis, one brother Dean Skinner of KY, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and other relatives.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Bro. Allan Griggs and Roger Wasson officiated. Burial with military graveside rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera American Legions and the Sullivan Veterans of Foreign Wars was in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnny Skinner, Paul Pemberton, Ron Brokering, Ronnie Skinner, Roger Wasson and Jeff Renn.
