Charles W. "Willie" Usrey, 92, of Sullivan died 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital. The 1934 graduate of Sullivan High School was born July 14, 1915 in Greene County to Charles M. Usrey and Dola E. Haney Usrey. He was a retired Carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Local 546 at Vincennes. He was a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church, the International Order of the Odd Fellows Lodge and a sixty five year member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Maxine Rossiter Usrey and his parents.

Survivors include one son Curtis Reed Usrey and his wife Twila of Sullivan, two daughters Charlyn Jan Usrey Crick and her husband Bob of Terre Haute and Carol Jo Usrey Ring and her husband Ken of Plainfield, a special friend Glenn Benson of Sullivan, one sister Ruth Usrey Roudebush of Memphis, six grandchildren Greg Ring, Charlyn Crick Harkness, Mike Ring, Robb Crick, Ariel Usrey Eldridge and Elliott Usrey, five great grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Wise officiating. Burial will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 p.m. Monday and 8:00 a.m. until services Tuesday.
