Robert A. "Bob" Phegley, 77, of Carlisle died at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2007 at his residence. The 1948 graduate of Carlisle High School was born October 22, 1929 in Carlisle to James P. Phegley and Jessie Marchino Phegley. He was a farmer, a former crop duster, a watch and clock repairman and furniture maker. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of forty nine years Bonnie Theriac Phegley of Carlisle whom he married April 8, 1958, two sons Allen Phegley and his wife Ellen and Daniel Phegley and his wife Margie all of Carlisle, one daughter Linda Payne and her husband Chriss of Macon, GA, three brothers James Phegley and his wife Norma of Vincennes, Philip Phegley and his wife Dalene and Steve Phegley and his wife Janice all of Carlisle, two sisters Sara Chowning of Banning, CA and Linda Howanice and her husband Edward of Terre Haute, five grandchildren Chad Phegley, Nicholas Payne, Harrison Payne, Charlie Sue Phegley, and Andrea Lynn Phegley and other relatives.

Funeral mass was at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Frank Renner officiated. Burial was in the Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Phegley, Phil Phegley, Steve Phegley, Chad Phegley, Paul Jeffries, Harry Knotts and Rick Ridgway.
