Jerry Joe Arnett, 72, of Sullivan died at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at his residence. The 1953 graduate of Sullivan High School was born March 15, 1935 in Sullivan to George Arnett and Lottie Abrams Arnett. He was retired from Vigoro Agribusiness and a self employed truck driver. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers James "Jim" Arnett and Leven "Lev" Arnett.

Survivors include nephews Jeff Arnett, Clay Arnett, Bob Arnett and Matt Arnett all of Sullivan and Dane Arnett of GA, two nieces Susan Snyder and Andrea Irr both of FL and other relatives. Services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tom Turner officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Arnett, Clay Arnett, Bob Arnett, Matt Arnett, Robert Arnett, Ryan Arnett and Norman Snyder.
