Alyce Elizabeth Ladd, 89, of Sullivan died at 2:00 a.m. Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor. The homemaker was born February 27, 1918 in New Lebanon to Claude Lisman and Bess Burroughs Lisman. She was a member of the Sullivan First United Methodist Church and the Sullivan Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Ladd, her parents, and two brothers Claude Lisman, Jr. and John Lisman.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Ladd and his wife Amy of Marshall, IL and John Ladd and his wife Tammy of New Lebanon, two daughters, Annette Engle and her husband Pete of Terre Haute and Alyce Nolan and her husband James of Sullivan, two sisters Kathleen Raymond of CA and Marian Wardell of Shelburn, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Services were at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dan Sinkhorn officiated. Burial was in the Merom Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Ladd, John Ladd, Michael Wardell, James Nolan, Sean Coakley, and Jimmy Nolan. Honorary pallbearer was Darrell Cooper.
