Lavern Trump, 85, of Sullivan and formerly of Hymera died at 2:17 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born June 29, 1921 in Hymera to Sam Trump and Mabel Weaver Trump. He was a retired blender for Pfizer's and a former coal miner. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Hymera American Legion. He was preceded in death by one son Larry L. Trump, his parents, three brothers Paul Trump, Ben Trump and Bill Trump and two sisters Daisy Parson and Lula Romine.

Survivors include his wife of sixty five years Thelma R. Kelley Trump of Sullivan whom he married February 7, 1942 one grandson John Allen Trump, two great granddaughters Samantha Lynn Trump and Christina Deann Trump, one great, great grandson Charley Xavier Trump and other relatives.

Services were at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Rev. Mike Julian officiated. Burial with military graveside services by the Hymera, Sullivan and Shelburn American Legions and the Sullivan VFW was in the K of P Cemetery near Hymera.
