Malcolm W. "Skip" Southwood, 62, of Farmersburg died at 2:51 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2007 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. The Vincennes University Graduate was born February 2, 1945 in Sullivan to George Southwood and Nettie Zellars Southwood. He was a self employed paralegal and private investigator. He was a former chairman of the Sullivan County Libertarian Party. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Flath Southwood of Farmersburg, one son Joe Southwood of Farmersburg, one daughter Kimberly Shepherd and her husband Everett of Shelburn, two brothers Pat Southwood and his wife Lynn of Sullivan and Dean Southwood of Shelburn, two grandchildren Tiffany Pinkston and Larry Pinkston, III and other relatives.

There are no services or visitation. Private burial will be at a later date. Holmes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
