Mary Jane Frederick, 85, of Carlisle died at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 in the Willow Manor Nursing Home at Vincennes . She was born September 17, 1921 in Vincennes to Levi Taylor and Mary Ann Banks Taylor. Se was a retired cook at the Carlisle Elementary School and a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ at Carlisle . She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Frederick and her parents.

Survivors include two sons Ronnie "Ron" Taylor and his wife Rose of Vincennes and Royce Frederick of Carlisle , one daughter Deborah Frederick of Carlisle , two grandsons Melvin Taylor and Bruce Taylor, four great grandchildren and other relatives. Services were at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Carlisle. Bill Sam Phegley officiated. Burial was in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery at Bicknell. Pallbearers were Bill Burr, Doug Burr, Jorden Burr, Jerry Snyder, Bruce Taylor and Bill Chagnon.
