Freeda Vae Shake, 85, of Sullivan died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Millers Merry Manor. The 1941 graduate of Farmersburg High School was born July 9, 1922 in Farmersburg to James Johnson and Bessie Pierce Johnson. She was retired from the First National Bank and Trust and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Auxiliary and the DAV. She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Shake and her parents.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Sinkhorn officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in North Terre Haute. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until time of services Friday.
