Michael Joe Rogers, 45, of Hymera died at 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007 in his residence. He was born April 25, 1961 in Terre Haute to James D. Rogers and Donna Davenport Rogers Stanifer. He was a press operator for the Wabash Valley Fiber Box Co., a 1980 graduate of North Central High School and a member of the Southside Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister Lori Stanifer.
Survivors include one son Josh Rogers of Farmersburg, two daughters Ashleigh Rogers and Caitlin Rogers both of Farmersburg, his mother and stepfather Don Stanifer of Shelburn, his former wife Penni Kotter of Farmersburg, a special friend Julie Dix of Farmersburg, one brother Donnie Stanifer and his wife Sonya of Shelburn, one sister Barbara Joyner and her husband Michael of Jasonville and other relatives.
Services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Rev. Dick Jones officiated. Burial was in the K of P Cemetery near Hymera. Pallbearers were George Skipo III, Ray Howard, Craig Lewis, Tom Kotter, Michael Joyner and Randy Allison.
