Pat Monroe Fry, 72, of New Lebanon died at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born September 17, 1935 in Chicago to Herschel Jenkins and Irene Steiner Jenkins. She was a homemaker and former co-owner of the Sullivan Tire Mart. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Bill W. Monroe. Pat, was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband Ronald D. Fry of New Lebanon, three sons Kim Monroe and wife Helen of Sullivan, Dan Fry and wife Debbie and Chad Fry all of Jasonville, one daughter Tammy Laurick and husband Joe of Lexington, KY, two brothers Bill Jenkins of Indianapolis and Wheezer Jenkins of Carlisle, one sister Donna Trotter of Terre Haute, six grandchildren Robb Monroe, Rick Monroe, Rick Paynter, Jared Laurick, Clint Fry and Courtney Fry, six great grandchildren and other relatives.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Sullivan with Revs. Dale Wise and David Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church. Pallbearers will be Robb Monroe, Rick Monroe, Rick Paynter, Brad Stewart, Pete Willis and Randy Jenkins. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church Missionary Group, envelopes will be available at the Church.
