Frances Lucile Chambers, 89, of Sullivan and formerly of Carlisle died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Sullivan County Community Hospital. The 1936 graduate of Carlisle High School was born October 2, 1918 to Guy Barker and Bonnie Giles Barker. She was a homemaker, a member of the Oakland Church of Christ and fifty year memnber of the Carlisle Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Jerry Boltz, two brothers Delbert and Harold Barker.
Survivors include her husband of fifty eight years Robert "Bob" Chambers of Sullivan whom she married September 2, 1950, one step daughter Darlene Watts and husband Charles of Portage, one sister Helen Stevens of Fredricktown, MO, nieces Rhonda Sue White and Sonie Porzewski, nephews Dennis Barker and Ronald Wilson and other relatives. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Bro. Allan Griggs officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Elnora. Visitation is 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday.
