R. Steve Willis, 59, of Sullivan died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. The 1967 graduate of Calumet High School was born September 14, 1948 in Leeco, KY to Ralph Willis and Aileen Sabdusky Willis. He was a boilermaker and a member of local 374. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Daryl Willis, two sisters Shirley Hughett and Lynn Willis.

Survivors include his wife of forty years M. Lynn Anderson Willis of Sullivan whom he married November 18, 1967, two sons David "Buzzy" Willis and wife Amy of Sullivan and Brian L. Willis and wife Jennifer of Merom, his mother of Blue River, WI, three sisters Janice Wilson of Cincinnati, Brenda Welte of Banazia, KY and Sharon Hosteller of Memphis, IN, one sister in law Sara Miller of Sullivan, seven grandchildren D.J. Willis, Michael Willis, Audrey Willis, Zachary Kaiser, Kyle Phillips, Leah Klitz and Jarrad Klitz and other relatives.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Enochs, Richard Biggs, Randy Webster, Raymond Smith, Robert Harrington, Danny Shaw, Jerry Snodgrass and Larry Hauger. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Sunday.
