Peter Allen "Pete" Thompson, 61, of Sullivan died at 6:27 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at his residence. The 1964 graduate of Stockton High School was born January 26, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Joseph Thompson and Mary Norris Thompson. He was a sales and parts manager at Pigg Implement Sales in Sullivan. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother William "Bill" Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of seventeen years Connie Webster Thompson of Sullivan whom he married November 10, 1990, two sons Thom Thompson and his wife Kelley of Merom and Brad Nash and his wife Jackie of Sallisaw, OK, two daughters Shelly Newton and her husband Wally of Sullivan and Elizabeth Thrasher and her husband Kenny of Sullivan, one sister Lana Lucero and her husband Lou of Mesa, AZ, one aunt Dorothy Powell, eight grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8:00 p.m. Friday. Those who wish may make donations to the Riley Children's Hospital.
