Marjorie Vivian Ring Springer, 95, of Vero Beach, FL and formerly of Hymera and New Lebanon died at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in Palm Gardens Nursing Home at Vero Beach. She was born February 27, 1912 in Hymera to Albert Terry Ring and Myra Abbott Ring. Se was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught at Hymera, Merom and Vero Beach. She was a graduate of Hymera High School and the Indiana State Teachers College. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the AARP and the Frances Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Blevins Springer, two sons James Thomas Springer and John Robert Springer, one sister Mary Ring Cochran and one nephew Jack Cochran.
Survivors include one son Larry Joe Springer of Vero Beach, one sister Lois E. Ring of Hymera, four grandchildren Lisa Springer, Bly Springer, John Thomas Springer and wife Tanya and Bradley Springer and wife Julie, five great grandchildren Mallorie Springer, Chandler Springer, Mackenzie Springer, Thomas Patrick Springer and Amanda Springer, a daughter in law Jacqueline Springer, one nephew Paul Cochran and wife Linda, two great nieces Kelli Cochran and Katie Cochran and other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near New Lebanon. Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday.
