Lola Madeline Easter, 91, of Sullivan died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 06, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born November 18, 1916 in Sullivan County to John Malone and Flaude Chickadaunce Malone. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benjamin Davis Easter who died July 1986, four brothers Ben Malone, Emmett Malone, Ezra Malone and Bob Malone, three sisters Irene Benson, Bonnie Jewell and Olga Shaw.

Survivors include two sons Larry Easter and his wife Margaret of Shelburn and James Easter of Sarasota, FL, one daughter Julie Thrasher of Sullivan, one brother Harland Cross of Terre Haute, three sisters Dora Drake of Sullivan, Emily Dryden of Denver, CO and June Gibson of Sacramento, CA, eight grandchildren Marion Campbell and husband Don, Debbie Horn, Bruce Easter, James Easter, Jr. and wife Carla, Kenny Thrasher and wife Elizabeth, Robert Easter and wife Daranee, Kathy Easter and Heather Springer and husband Matt, fifteen great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that loved her very much. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Holmes Memorial Chapel, in Sullivan with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Thrasher, Matt Springer, Reid Horn, Ryne Horn, Jim Easter, Jr. and Mark Drake. Honorary pallbearers are Jim VanSant and Randy Drake. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Friday.
