Doris Ilene Frew, 87, of West Lafayette and formerly of Sullivan and Terre Haute died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. The 1938 graduate of Fairbanks High School was born November 19, 1920 in Fairbanks to Elmer Peak and Ruby Riggs Peak. She retired from the Southwest School Corporation as secretary to the principal and was a real estate agent for Century 21 Realty. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John Frew, her parents and one brother Mervyn Peak.

Survivors include two daughters Sue Coulson and her husband John of West Lafayette and Beth Glemser of Indianapolis, five grandchildren Dan Coulson, John Coulson, Jeff Coulson, Karen McGlone and Jamie Mogensen, four great grandchildren Meagan Coulson, Zachary Syester, Joshua Coulson and Blythe Mogensen and other relatives. Services were at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel. Rev. David Cox officiated. Burial was in the Center Ridge Cemetery.
