Myra "Jane" Knotts, 59, of Carlisle and formerly of Bonita Springs, Florida passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at Miller's Merry Manor. The 1967 graduate of Sullivan High School was born September 3, 1949 in Sullivan to Carl "Dick" Knotts and Eva Ready Knotts. She was a Medical Technologist at the Southwest Regional Hospital in Fort Myers for twenty years before returning to Indiana. She was a graduate of Purdue University and attended the Carlisle first United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her nephew Carter Hale.
Survivors include her parents of Carlisle, one brother Richard "Dick" and Janice Knotts of Carlisle, one sister Fran and Butch Hale of Sullivan, two nephews Curt Hale, Greenville and Kyler Knotts, Carlisle one niece Kendra Fuhs, Indianapolis, three great nephews Parker and Will Hale and Carson Fuhs, one great niece Gracie Hale and other relatives.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan with Rev. Marilyn Cougar officiating. Burial will be in the Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyler Knotts, Curt Hale, Dale Knotts, Ronnie Monroe, Brad Hoke and Tom Stewart. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Friday.
