Clyde Dugger, 89, of Sullivan passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family October 30, 2009. He was born May 30, 1920 to Florence John and Eva Mae Phipps Dugger in Hazel Bluff.
He married Betty R. Coleman Dugger June 6, 1953. She preceded him in death April 19, 2008.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving as a sergeant in Co. H 145th Infantry. Clyde, retired from U.S. Steel after thirty-four years of dedicated service.
He is survived three sons Al Swinefurth, Elwood, Dave (Denise) Swinefurth, Terre Haute and Mike Dugger, Fargo, ND, four daughters Debra Rhodes, Sullivan, Mary (Geordia) Johnson, Monroe, NC, Patty Dugger, Sullivan and Janet (Francisco) Barrera, Ft. Wayne, sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great, great granddaughter, five sisters Joan (Carl) Rinehart, Hillsdale, Loretta Frost, W. Terre Haute, Edith Conley, Grace Jackson and Lucy Usleman all of Clinton and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, and two sisters Evelyn Wright and Mary Landsaw.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
