Frank Vanzo, 58, of Sullivan passed away at 1:58 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Union Hospital after a long battle with diabetes. The 1969 graduate of Sullivan High School was born December 31, 1951 in Sullivan to Buddie Vanzo and Concetta Graviano Vanzo. He was a graduate of Franklin College and received his master's degree from Butler University in 1975. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Sullivan Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Terre Haute. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and enjoyed football and baseball. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-four years Anne May Brower Vanzo of Sullivan whom he married June 6, 1986, one daughter Alexandra Vanzo, Sullivan, his father, Sullivan, a brother Anthony(and Jeannie) Vanzo, Sullivan, three sisters Linda (and Ed) Kirschner, Indianapolis, Rosalee (and Mike) Saucerman, Sullivan and Diane McKinney, Evansville and other relatives.
A memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Word of Life Church with Rev. Jeff Canfield officiating. Visitation is noon until time of services Friday at the Church. Donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
