Orland Eugene Stanley, 63, of Sullivan passed away at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his residence. The 1964 graduate of Sullivan High School was born July 7, 1946 in Hammond, IN to Fred Stanley and Marjorie Ice Stanley. He was a retired driver's license examiner for the State of Indiana and a former editor of the Sullivan Daily Times. Orland, was a graduate of the Lincoln Christian College and an ordained minister at the Sullivan First Christian Church where he was also a member. He loved working family genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of forty-two years Bretta Bernelle Stanley of Sullivan whom he married August 4, 1967 and one son Philip W. Stanley, Sullivan.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Myron Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in the MT. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Friday.
