John Raymond Wise, 72, of Shelburn passed away at 4:10 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital. The 1955 graduate of Shelburn High School was born July 18, 1937 in Shelburn to Ray Wise and Lucille Black Wise. He was a retired quality control technician for General Houseware of Terre Haute and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include two daughters Teri (and Dustin) Jenkins and Kathy Pugh all of Shelburn, his mother of Shelburn, a special friend Shirley Wise of Shelburn, one brother Ron Wise, Knoxville, TN, one sister Thelma VanHorn, Jasonville, two grandchildren, three step grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Bro. Russell Black officiating. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. until time of services Monday.
