Edward Roy "Pete" Howard, 89, of Sullivan passed away at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor. He was born January 21, 1921 in Shelburn to Roy Howard and Myrtle Irvin Howard. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Local 841 Operating Engineers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one step son Jerry Deakins, one step daughter Carolyn Deakins, two brothers Harold and Donald Howard, three sisters Iona (Irvin) Wiggins, Marilyn (Reed) Young and Mary Alice Howard and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife Cleo Rilenge Howard, Sullivan, one step son Bill (and Dorothy) Deakins, Fairbanks, three brothers Wade (and Mary) Howard Fairbanks, Herschel (and Agnes) Howard, Dugger and George (and Brenda) Howard, Shelburn, one sister Genevie Bailey, Monroe, LA, seven step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Bush officiating. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until time of services Friday.
