Helen Marie Moss, 93, of Sullivan passed away at 11:43 p.m. Thursday August 18, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan, IN. She was born May 4, 1918, in Sullivan to Clyde Nixon and Susie Daves Nixon . She was a former employee of H. W. Gossard Co. and a past president of the International Garment Workers Local Union and also worked at American Latex Co. She was preceded in death by her first husband James Ammerman, second husband Ira Moss, daughter Sally Ann Wolfe and son-in-law Russell Wolfe, granddaughter-in-law Clara Wolfe, two brothers George Nixon and Raymond Nixon, two sisters Eula Wright and Dorothy McCammon.

Survivors include a son Dennis Ammerman of Sullivan, daughter Phyllis Chambers and her husband Larry of Franklin, stepson Kenneth Moss and wife Kay of Indianapolis, stepdaughters Carolyn Sue Reel and husband John of Plainfield, Nancy Ford and husband John of Vincennes and Beth Moss of Carlisle. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Mike Wolfe and wife Cindi of Linton, Jill Fleener and husband Doug of Sullivan, Greg Wolfe of Sullivan, Chris Chambers and wife Teri of Martinsville, Laurie Church and husband Craig of Indianapolis, and Tracy Turner and husband Grayson of Linton, as well as several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, step grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday.
