Velma N. Whitlock, 80, of Shelburn passed away at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 in her residence. The Shelburn High School graduate, and homemaker was born October 4, 1930 in Shelburn to Walter "Buck" Hayes and Nellie Lewis Hayes. She was a member of the Shelburn Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis F. Whitlock, her parents, and a brother Clifford "Keg" Hayes
She is survived by a son Steve Whitlock, a brother Norman Hayes both of Shelburn, and special friends Richard, Charlotte, and Evan Himebrook, also Betty and Bruce Hauger.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan with Pastor Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday
