Iris Ann Caughran, 81, of Shelburn passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan IN, she was born May 2, 1929 in Vincennes, IN to Emmitt Clayton York and Grace May Milburn York. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1995.

Survivors include two sons Terry Lee (Lynn) and Harold Keith (Susan), two daughters Beverly Ann Griswold (Craig) and Amy Ann Montgomery (Roger Green),eleven grandchildren, Adam Caughran, Jason Caughran, Luke Montgomery, Mathew Cooper, Anthony Griswold, Vanessa Borgman, Tyler Bilskie, Joshua Kourtis, Kaitlyn Bilskie, Larissa Green and Benjamine Green, five great grandchildren, Pairs Borgman, Jackson Borgman, Bella Griswold, Emma Gerrich and Nathaniel Green.

Animals were the love of her life, especially her dog Posey, and she was the owner of many horses and was a member of the Stop Sixteen Saddle Club, the Wabash Valley Horseman Association and the Hymera Saddle Club. Services will be 1:OO p.m. Thursday March 17, 2011 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan, IN with Rev. Norman R. Santus officiating. Burial will be in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
