Betty Jo Ammerman, 70, of Dugger passed away at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011 in her residence. She was born February 11, 1941 in Sullivan County to Ernest Grimes and Dorothy Partlow Grimes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harvest Temple Church of God. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Mark Allen Ammerman and six brothers Ronnie, Roger, Richard, Mike, Ernest and Gilbert Grimes.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years Delbert Ammerman of Dugger whom she married October 2, 1959, one son Rick (and Dawn) Ammerman, Jasonville, one daughter Cathy Goldman, Dugger, two brothers Jerry Grimes, Dugger and Bobby Grimes, Sullivan, five sisters Pansy Eslinger, Margie Arnett, Gayle Ashba, Jody Ashba and DeeAnn Lochbaum, six grandchildren Chad Goldman, Kelli Tennant, Cody Ammerman, Dillon Ammerman, Kassandra Fetz and Kristy Fetz, seven great grandchildren Kaitlyn Tennant, Grant Tennant, Wyatt Tennant, Lilly Tennant, Wesley Goldman, Waylon Goldman and Henry Goldman and other relatives.
