Dorothy N. Howard, 83, of Shelburn passed away at 6:01 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 22, 1927 in Central City, KY to Homer Hearld and Hallie Doss Hearld. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Howard, her parents and three brothers Jim, Charles and Foley Hearld, and a sister Mary Bobbit.

Survivors include four sons Jim Howard, Hymera, Jerry Howard and Roy Howard both of Shelburn and Roger Howard, Terre Haute, three daughters Mary McClure, Sondra Pearison and Patty McClure all of Shelburn, a brother Ira Hearld two sisters Frances Trueblood, Bloomington and Veronica McGhee, Greenville, KY, twenty-two grandchildren, forty -six great grandchildren several great, great grandchildren and other relatives. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery.
