Paul Charles Beard, 40, of Sullivan, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident.
Paul was born February 4, 1971 in Sullivan County to Ralph Dee Beard and Kathryn Sue Huff. He was a former ironworker with Local 439 out of Terre Haute, collection and service technician for Huff Amusements of Terre Haute, a former miner at Peabody's Millers Creek, owner of TreeHuggers PaintBall of Sullivan, and currently employed by J&J Ventures out of Effingham, Illinois as a collection and service technician.
Paul is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Baker Beard, and maternal grandparents, Charles "Butch" and Mary Gilbreath Huff.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Ralph and Cathy Tatom Beard and his mother and step-father, Susie and Mike Pierce. He is also survived by his step-brothers, Ray (Sarah) Lewis, Jasonville, Amy (Wes) Rincker, Knob Noster, MO, and Troy (Tammy) Lewis, West Terre Haute. Paul is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Moyer officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
