Debbie Kay Horst, 51, of Carlisle passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at I. U. Medical Center in Indianapolis. The 1977 graduate of Sullivan High School was born April 3, 1959 in Vincennes to Loren "John" Theriac and Mary Gerken Theriac. She was a cook at Kathy Jo's Chatterbox Restaurant, an EMT for the Carlisle Community Ambulance Service, and a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-one years Dale Lee Horst of Carlisle whom she married February 25, 1989, one son J.D. (and Stephanie) Horst, Leavenworth, KS, three daughters Michelle Bolenbaugh (and fiancée Chris Ciardello) Osceola, Melinda Boone (and fiancée Kevin Hollifield), Carlisle, and Paula Horst (and fiancée Josh Bailey), Carlisle, three brothers Norman (Judy) Theriac, Floyd Knobs, Ronnie (Karen) Theriac, Carlisle and Johnnie (Paige) Theriac, Louisville, KY, three grandchildren Mary Boone, Braeden Hollifield, and Jesse Hollifield, and other relatives.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan with Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Carlisle. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Friday. Those who wish may make donations to the Carlisle Community Ambulance Service. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
